Open your home to provide a person with intellectual and developmental disabilities a unique opportunity to live with a family unit.

The Alternative Family Living (AFL) program enables an individual to live in a private home with a family and receive 24‑hour supports and habilitation.

Responsibilities

Provide 24‑hour residential support to an individual with intellectual or developmental disabilities and/or mental health challenges.

Assist the individual in developing daily living skills and independence.

Collaborate with day programs, therapists or other service providers as needed to support the individual’s goals.

Maintain a safe, caring, and supportive home environment.

Qualifications

Preferred: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Direct Support Professional (DSP) experience.

Ability to work evenings, weekends, and respond to emergencies.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Commitment to respectful, person‑centered care.

Employment Details This is an independent contractor position, not a traditional employment role.
