Base pay range $102,900.00/yr - $135,075.00/yr

Role purpose and impact We are looking for an experienced, high-energy HVAC Designer to join our Building Mechanical team and help deliver innovative HVAC design solutions for our heavy industrial clients. You will work alongside engineers and designers performing field investigations, interfacing with clients & vendors, sizing and selecting equipment, and preparing construction design packages. You’ll be accountable for the schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks as you gain familiarity with the client’s expectations, scope, budget, and schedule. You’ll work with a multi-discipline, highly interactive team to meet client needs. Your role keeps our company connected, and we’ll support you with what you need to be successful.

Highlights of responsibilities

Layout and design of HVAC systems

Development of conceptual design and preliminary design documents, including calculations for sizing and selecting systems, development of Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and general arrangements

Development of final construction documents for HVAC systems (e.g., chilled water, cooling water)

Coordination with other disciplines

What you’ll need

At least ten (10) years’ experience in the design of HVAC systems for industrial facilities

Proficiency in Revit

Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to HVAC design

Adaptability to work within a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines

Ability to collaborate with the project team remotely

Ideally you’ll also have

Software experience in AutoCAD, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace 700, and Trane Trace 3D

Experience in the design of plumbing/utility systems

Within the range, pay is determined by location and other factors such as skills, experience, and education or training.
