Supervisory Physician - Maplewood Community Care Clinic U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs provided pay range: $250,000.00/yr – $400,000.00/yr.

Summary Seeking a Family Practice or Internal Medicine trained primary care provider with administrative and supervisory experience for a Medical Supervisor position at a VA clinic in Maplewood, MN. Our physicians serve the primary care health needs of Maplewood and surrounding areas using a team approach with nursing and onsite clinical pharmacist.

Qualifications To qualify for this position, applicants must meet basic requirements and any additional requirements listed in the job announcement. Currently employed physician(s) in VA who met initial appointment requirements are deemed to have met the basic requirements.

Basic Requirements

United States Citizenship: Non‑citizens may only be appointed when no qualified citizens are available.

Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from a VA‑approved school, obtained during its accredited year.

Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or District of Columbia.

Residency training approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to board certification.

Board certification or eligibility in Internal/Family Medicine (preferred).

Proficiency in spoken and written English.

2–3 years of clinical experience (preferred).

Physical requirements: pre‑employment examination or evaluation required.

Duties

Advocate a Whole Health System of care as part of the VA Midwest Health Care Network.

Create personalized health plans for Veterans within a healing relationship context.

Provide outpatient duties and management of scheduled and unscheduled patients.

Maintain an assigned patient panel as specified by VHA PCMM software.

Focus on chronic disease initiatives (CHF, COPD, DM, mental health), MOVE program, and health promotion/disease management.

Work schedule: Monday through Friday.
