Job Description Summary The Wind Global EHS Training Strategy and Deployment Lead is responsible for the EHS training and learning strategy program deliverables across the One Wind organization (Projects, Services, Fixed Facility, and Offices/Engineering). The role will focus on the integrity and effectiveness of the GE Vernova Wind EHS training programs and processes, policies, and procedures, ensuring alignment with Global Wind and GE Vernova EHS training requirements. The lead will collaborate with stakeholders to manage training matrices, facilitate training councils, and contribute to content for both digital and classroom training.
Essential Responsibilities
Develop EHS learning strategy and deployment across One Wind.
Lead the EHS training program and digital tool utilization such as GE Learning / Gensuite DCP globally, coordinating cross‑functionally to drive consistent application and implementation across the business.
Apply learning principles to develop new EHS courseware.
Drive innovation and excellence by incorporating new learning technologies such as VR and other immersive digital programs.
Manage and deliver leadership training and “train‑the‑trainer” sessions in various formats, including classroom, virtual, and simultaneous translation.
Coach and mentor regional EHS teams to build and deliver robust EHS training programs.
Develop regional expertise on managing learning systems and classroom sessions per GE Vernova expectations.
Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of EHS regulations and GE Vernova EHS programs relevant to assigned priorities.
Qualify and maintain approved EHS instructors per topic area across One Wind.
Partner with One Wind teams to ensure appropriate technical and regulatory competency for EHS and operational team members.
Lead strategy to manage employee and contractor records, including training documentation.
Support GE Vernova EHS business operation system (Framework).
Support key deliverables and KPIs for business health and safety strategy and effectiveness of the EHS training program.
Proactively partner and develop positive working relationships with cross‑functional personnel.
Qualifications / Requirements
5–7+ years of experience with EHS training and strategy programs.
Bachelor of Science in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent technical degree.
Certified Environmental or Health and Safety professional.
Prior experience in the wind or energy industry.
Significant EHS training experience in a projects/service or fixed facility environment.
Medical fitness and ability to work at height per local and global standards.
Knowledge of EHS management systems.
Fluent English, strong verbal and written communication skills.
Desired Characteristics
Experience working across different GE Vernova businesses.
Experience with VR training environments.
Experience in adult learning and teaching principles.
Strong working knowledge of GE Vernova digital training management systems such as ComplyWorks, Gensuite, DCP/SGS/3S.
Knowledge of EHS core programs and requirements (regulatory and conformance).
Able to coach and support key influencers to drive EHS compliance and risk reduction.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and lead change.
Confident in delivering training and presentations to diverse audiences.
Experience in project/services environment, risk management.
High energy, self‑starter.
Related EHS expertise outside primary responsibility, e.g., Occupational Safety or Sustainability.
Trained to Global Wind Organization (GWO) basic safety standard.
Additional language skills.
Eligibility Requirements
Ability to travel up to 25–30% of the time.
Remote and/or located in Madrid, Spain, Schenectady, NY, or Greenville, SC.
