Director of Development for Memphis Jewish Home & Rehab | MFA Candidate at the University of Memphis Position Overview Memphis Jewish Home & Rehab is seeking an experienced Director to oversee the adult day program. Named in memory of a valued community member, the Ronna K. Newburger Adult Day Center operates a state-of-the-art space on the northside of the Home’s campus. Under the direction of the Assistant Executive Director, the Director of Adult Day Services will be responsible for the daily management and operation of the program. The individual will also work closely with the Chief Financial Officer.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure participants’ safety, health, and overall satisfaction with the services.

Supervision of Adult Day staff team, including activities coordinators, housekeeping, etc.

Intake assessment for prospective participants.

Supervision of budget, marketing, and human resources needs for the program. Will work in partnership with MJHR’s respective departments when necessary.

Oversee activities and calendar planning for the program.

Direct the strategic planning and decisions for the future of the program.

Qualifications

Must have prior or current experience as an Adult Day Director OR strong experience and knowledge of the senior care industry.

Nursing license favored.

Management experience (at least 2 years) required.

In-depth knowledge of regulations and compliance.

Superb organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and the ability to prioritize required duties are essential qualifications for this position.

Physical Demands / Environmental Exposure This position requires sitting/standing and may require some lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, and stooping/bending. While performing the duties of the job, the employee may be occasionally exposed to odors, chemicals, and/or potential infections.
