Our Client is seeking a Senior Accountant (Operations) to support budget and reporting needs, financial analysis and metrics, and general ledger accounting. The role requires familiarity with financial modeling, presentation skills, accounting principles, finance technology, and general ledger experience. The Senior Accountant will report directly to the Associate Controller and perform additional duties as assigned.
Month‑end Journal Entries and Reporting (15%)
Prepare and maintain monthly expense vs. budget analysis and draft reports for senior management.
Prepare and post monthly and year‑end journal entries, including allocation entries.
Prepare transaction‑level analysis and reporting as needed.
Expense Report Process and Reporting (30%)
Prepare, maintain, and train on spend authorization and travel expense reporting.
Complete second‑level expense report review and approval.
Budget Entry and Testing of New Budget System (25%)
Post and maintain budget information in the accounting system.
Assist with testing during the implementation of a new budget module.
Other Duties (30%)
Assist and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to states and local governments.
Create and review process documentation for completeness and accuracy.
Research and maintain historical information on IRS requirements and tax metrics.
Skills Required
Advanced Excel skills.
Working knowledge of Workday and/or Adaptive is a plus.
37.5‑hour work week, Monday–Friday, daytime hours required, flexible start/end time.
Hybrid Flexible Purpose Model allows for remote work; occasional travel to the Princeton, NJ office may be requested.
