Our Pharmacy Managers play a critical role in cultivating a culture of excellence in their respective pharmacy by acting as a role model for all, demonstrating genuine care, and setting the bar for their pharmacy team.

Responsibilities As a Pharmacy Manager, you will lead and develop a pharmacy team that provides exceptional patient care by promoting best practices and leading through change while identifying and addressing performance opportunities. Pharmacy Managers support novel program awareness, onboard newly hired pharmacy team members, and recognize colleagues for their success. The Pharmacy Manager consistently exhibits best practices when working the bench, providing patients with meaningful counseling, and abiding by all legal and regulatory guidelines.

Living our purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices.

Overseeing the pharmacy team during bench shifts, coaching and following up on performance.

Supporting safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by directing the pharmacy team to follow workflow procedures and safety guardrails.

Contributing to positive patient experiences through empathy and genuine care.

Proactively offering and delivering immunizations and supporting technicians in learning to immunize.

Managing pharmacy inventory, protecting cold chain products.

Conducting onboarding for technicians and pharmacists.

Ensuring compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations.

Partnering with the Store Manager to maintain a talented cross‑trained pipeline.

Overseeing Staff Pharmacists and District Support Pharmacists, delivering performance reviews.

Maintaining flexible scheduling while ensuring a safe, inclusive team dynamic.

Reviewing business reporting for operational insights and closing gaps.

Establishing a culture of safety, empowerment, and inclusion.

Keeping relevant clinical and technical skills current.

Supporting access to care through pharmacist‑delivered clinical care.

Complying with federal, state, and CVS Health policies for patient safety and privacy.

Required Qualifications

Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.

Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).

Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

1–2 years of experience as a Pharmacist.

Essential Functions Core capabilities and attributes that support the Pharmacy Manager role:

Regular, predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.

Completion of required training within designated timeframes.

Strong focus and concentration on tasks.

Customer Service orientation and friendly communication.

Effective use of verbal and written communication.

Application of mathematical reasoning for dispensing accuracy.

Problem resolution in challenging interactions.

Physical demands such as lifting up to 20 lbs., standing, and manipulating items.

Team management and leadership skills, including coaching, feedback, and discipline.

Ability to perform additional tasks as directed.

Preferred Qualifications

Completion of the CVS Pharmacy Manager Emerging Leader (PM‑EL) program.

3–5 years of related experience in a pharmacy or customer service setting.

Ability to work in the home store and other locations.

$70.00 – $88.00 per hour

Pay Range Details:

This represents the base hourly rate for the position; actual offer varies with experience, education, geography.

Potential eligibility for bonus, commission, or short‑term incentive.
