Job Purpose And Summary
As a Pharmacy Manager, you will lead and develop a pharmacy team that provides exceptional patient care by promoting best practices and leading through change while identifying and addressing performance opportunities. You will support program awareness, onboard newly hired team members, and recognize colleagues for their success. The Pharmacy Manager conducts patient-focused counseling, adheres to legal and regulatory guidelines, and collaborates with the patient’s healthcare team to resolve issues and improve outcomes. The Pharmacy Manager is responsible for direct and effective management of their pharmacy team, including but not limited to the items below: Living our purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices Overseeing the pharmacy team during bench shifts with coaching and follow-up Ensuring safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflow procedures and safety guardrails Providing compassionate patient care, collaborating with the patient’s healthcare team, and resolving insurance or medication issues Offering and delivering immunizations and supporting technicians to learn to immunize Managing pharmacy inventory with a focus on protecting cold chain products Conducting onboarding for new technicians and pharmacists, including training on CVS workflow Ensuring operations comply with state Board of Pharmacy regulations; escalating issues as needed Partnering with Store Manager to maintain a healthy talent pipeline and ensure timely training for licensure Overseeing Staff Pharmacists and District Support Pharmacists (where applicable) and delivering performance reviews Managing scheduling, safety, inclusivity, and team dynamics Reviewing business reporting and developing action plans to close gaps in workflow, service, patient care, and compliance Establishing a culture of safety and inclusion, encouraging feedback and action Maintaining clinical and technical skills through trainings and CME opportunities Supporting access to care and improving patient outcomes through pharmacist-delivered clinical care where permissible Complying with all relevant laws, regulations, standards, and CVS Health policies Required Qualifications
Active Pharmacist License in the state where the store is located Active National Provider Identifier (NPI) Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list 1-2 years of experience as a Pharmacist Essential Functions
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe Attention and focus: concentrate on tasks, switch tasks as needed, ensure label accuracy Customer service and team orientation: assist and support patients and colleagues Communication skills: verbal and written communication, active listening Mathematical reasoning: calculate days supply, quantities, and other dispensing details Problem resolution: address challenging patient or colleague interactions Physical demands: mobility, lifting, reaching, finger dexterity, visual acuity Team management and leadership: lead by example, delegate, coach, and drive performance Additional tasks as directed by supervisor or manager Preferred Qualifications
Completion of the CVS Pharmacy Manager Emerging Leader (PM-EL) program 3-5 years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service Ability to work in the home store and across the market to meet business needs Anticipated Weekly Hours

The Typical Pay Range For This Role Is $65.00 - $82.00 This pay range represents the base rate; actual offer depends on factors such as experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for CVS Health bonus, commission, or short-term incentive programs in addition to base pay. Benefits
