Overview

Precast Project Engineer – Civil/Structural at Fisher Associates. Lead and mentor a team in designing and delivering advanced precast and prestressed concrete structures. Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and guide multidisciplinary teams to develop efficient, sustainable, and code-compliant precast solutions that shape the built environment. What You’ll Do As a Precast Project Engineer

Lead and execute precast engineering and design tasks efficiently. Collaborate with project teams to deliver structurally sound, cost-effective, and visually appealing precast concrete designs. Perform and review structural analysis and calculations to ensure safety under various loads and conditions. Select materials and components for precast concrete production that meet strength, durability, and sustainability standards. Create accurate drawings, plans, and specifications for precast projects aligned with industry design standards. Support cost estimation for materials. Support Project Managers and Designers throughout the project lifecycle. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of codes, technologies, and advancements in the precast-prestressed field. Promote, utilize and support QA/QC processes to guarantee quality deliverables. Mentor junior staff and support their technical development. What You Bring, Your Experience

B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. 10+ years of experience in precast concrete design engineering for transportation infrastructure and underground structures (utility vaults, manholes, drainage structures, pump stations). Familiarity with ACI 318, ACI 350, ASCE-7, AASHTO; familiarity with IBC codes a plus. Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain it. Proficiency in AutoCAD & RISA 3D.
