Pay: $6,763.00 – $8,778.00 (minimum salary). New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.
Shall Consider: FORESTRY ASSISTANT II $5,315.00 – $6,895.00 A

Department: The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) – California’s fire department and resource management agency.
Special Requirements
Registered Professional Forester (RPF) License Certificate is required. Provide a copy of the certificate prior to hiring.
Respiratory Protection Program (RPP) Clearance is required prior to hire. The incumbent must wear respiratory protection equipment, including self‑contained breathing apparatus (SCBA). Annual medical clearance for fit‑testing is required.
Applicants must provide employment history on the application form (State Application STD 678) rather than attaching a resume. Confidential information (SSN, birthdate, student ID, etc.) must be omitted.
Official transcripts may be required upon appointment. Unofficial transcripts/diplomas may be submitted for verification of minimum qualifications.
