Responsibilities

Performance measurement and communication

Measure supplier performance in portfolio.

Broadcast regular performance scorecards.

Ensure management awareness and link performance to contractual obligations.

Calculate penalties or claims when applicable.

Implement relevant logistic and quality KPIs to anticipate problems.

Recovering nonperformance

Lead and coordinate actions to recover performance.

Visit suppliers to support recovery efforts.

Characterize impact on downstream supply chain.

Define action plans with supplier and Safran team.

Use contracts to incentivize prompt recovery.

Manage claim process with commercial teams when relevant.

Assessing and preventing risks of non-performance

Identify and mitigate risks via analysis and site visits.

Lead risk analysis with supplier (load vs capacity, new product risks).

Build business continuity plans.

Reduce supplier risks of nonperformance.

Define tailored visit and audit plans.

Coordinating the Safran team

Coordinate internal team members (planner, quality engineer, purchaser, etc.).

Set meeting rituals (yearly, monthly, weekly) with or without suppliers.

Qualifications

Educational requirement: Master of Science (M.S.) or MBA. Engineering degree or related field preferred.

Minimum 3 years relevant experience in industrial environment (aerospace, automotive).

Experience in operation management, supply chain, or project management.

Knowledge of MRO Aircraft Engines or aircraft engines is a plus.

Familiar with Lean principles (Green Belt certified preferred).

Proficiency with data manipulation and advanced Excel skills.

Soft skills: excellent communication, resilience to stress and pressure, focus on innovation and problem solving.

5+ years in MRO purchasing, production, or supply chain (offload operations) is desired.
