Mission description
Summary/Objective:
As the MRO Procurement Team Lead for the North America Area, you are accountable with your team for a portfolio of strategic repair suppliers. The team of MRO procurement is in charge of supplying repairs to the Safran Aircraft Engines (SAE) MRO Network and is the unique procurement point of contact of the suppliers for the SAE network. Your customers are the local supply chains of the SAE sites located in France, Mexico, Morocco, & Belgium. Your objective is to manage supplier relationships and make sure that the suppliers deliver parts according to Safran needs. 30% of your time will consist of managing a supplier and 70% of your time will consist of managing your team.
Location & Reporting:
This position is open in our Safran USA | SAE office located in Cincinnati, Ohio. You will report to Alexandre Apack, Director of Supply Chain, solid line and to the MRO Procurement Manager in France dotted line.
Team responsibilities:
Centralize all repair orders initiated by local supply chains
Manage a portfolio of orders in the ERP
Detect any alerts or risks, propose actions to mitigate risks
Ensure suppliers commit to end repair dates and develop action plans to improve delivery performance
Organize the activity of the team to deliver the required performance
Secure consistency and quality of the reporting for the America region
Cooperate with the other MRO Procurement teams (Europe & Asia) to have a standard worldwide process
Coordinate actions on supply‑chain topics
Escalate problematic flows to suppliers
Evaluate the workload of the team
Recruit new MRO Procurement Leaders & enroll them
Approve your team business trips, vacations and organize the backup system
Establish the training plan
Participate in the supplier team dynamic
Establish action plans to improve internal & supplier performance
Serve as the focal point of SAE MRO on repair procurement
You will be measured on key performance metrics of your team (On‑time delivery per contractual TAT, respect of procedures, etc.).

Maintain close relationship with Safran Supplier Team members (Supplier Performance Manager, Purchaser, Quality Manager, Engineering)
Knowledge of supplier capability (part numbers, repairs, certifications) and detect upfront any flow which cannot be managed/achieved
Job Requirements:
Leadership, communication, reactivity & customer orientation, assertiveness in regards to your supplier, proactivity once a problem is detected.
Required Education:
Minimum: Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited institution in Engineering. English native or close to native to communicate with suppliers. French language skill and knowledge of the French culture will be a plus.
Required Experience:
Minimum: 3 years in supply‑chain, purchasing or production in Aerospace Industry. Preferred: 5+ years in supply‑chain, purchasing or production in MRO Aerospace Industry, management experience.
Specificity of the job:
Business trips to major suppliers as required; Business trips to France twice per year.
