Overview The Florida Division of Alcoholic Beverages & Tobacco licenses the manufacture, distribution, sale, and service of alcoholic beverage and tobacco products. This role supports the Bureau of Law Enforcement, specifically as a processor of criminal and administrative cases and an assistant to law‑enforcement officers.

Your Specific Responsibilities

Conduct daily administrative functions including copying, faxing, organizing, and maintaining records.

Plan, prioritize, and manage administrative tasks independently.

Prepare reports and correspondence using Microsoft Word and Excel.

Process and distribute all mail.

Assist members of the public in person, by telephone, and via e‑mail; respond to inquiries and process fee payments.

Record accurate license complaints and track and prepare cases to ensure timely disposition.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of administrative principles and practices.

Knowledge of office procedures and practices.

Knowledge of data collection methods and analysis.

Knowledge of effective communication principles and techniques.

Ability to collect, evaluate, and analyze data related to administrative functions.

Prepare correspondence and administrative reports.

Understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Utilize problem‑solving techniques.

Work independently and organize work assignments.

Communicate effectively and establish effective working relationships.

Minimum Requirements

Two (2) years of clerical, secretarial, or administrative experience.

One year of experience with Microsoft Word.

One year of experience with Microsoft Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in a law‑enforcement agency or confidential environment.

Associate degree or higher.

Bilingual ability.
