Pay Range Base pay: $27.00/hr - $33.00/hr. Additional compensation may include an annual bonus.

Responsibilities

Perform calibration and preventative maintenance (PM) on basic industrial weighing equipment (e.g., floor and bench scales) without assistance within the respective Business Area.

Assist others on installations, projects, and/or repairs as necessary.

Attend to all customer service calls and support activities, ensuring compliance with company and customer safety and quality policies.

Perform basic end‑user training and provide maintenance support.

Ensure the company vehicle is serviced and maintained according to fleet requirements and policies.

Promote and sell service and products; submit sales leads at a level commensurate with experience.

Work to ensure customer uptime requirements are met and all work assignments are completed on time.

Accurately complete and submit all required paperwork on a daily basis using the company‑issued laptop PC.

Maintain a close professional relationship with external/internal customers, sales, technicians, and other leaders.

Complete Kronos time‑keeping daily and record punches for each activity as they occur.

Work to ensure an atmosphere of collaboration and teamwork with field and service support colleagues.

Submit Weights & Measures paperwork to state/county in a timely manner.

All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

A valid driver's license.

Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED or 5 years of relevant experience in engineering, electronics, instrumentation, technology, or computer science, or equivalent education and experience in a technical support role.

Associate's degree (AA) with a technical major or equivalent from a two‑year college is preferred.

Customer-facing or field-service experience preferred; commercial experience desired.

Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical repair philosophies, including PC networking & software configuration.

1-3 years of electro/mechanical repair or weighing industry experience.

Ability to obtain and maintain a CDL and Weights and Measures license in the service area.

Demonstrated skill in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Capability to learn proprietary software and review/update information using METTLER TOLEDO programs.

Ability to travel overnight up to 25% of the time; primarily using the company‑assigned vehicle, but may require air travel.

Residence within the service territory.

Ability to work overtime up to 25% of the time.

Willingness to be exposed to workplace hazards (chemicals, solvents, vehicle traffic, machinery, dust, cold, fumes) and to wear protective equipment and clothing when required.

Position is safety sensitive and subject to DOT drug testing and physical exam.

Physical requirements include frequent lifting up to 50 pounds and handling heavy loads by carrying, pushing, or pulling, as well as crouching, stooping, kneeling, and repeated bending.
