Johnson Service Group, an award-winning staffing company, is looking for a CNC Machinist with 5-10 years’ experience working in an Aerospace environment. This is a Temp-Direct Hire job in the Oxnard, CA area.
Pay Rate $35.00/hr
What you would do as a CNC Machinist (2nd Shift) As a Full‑Time CNC Machinist at our Oxnard facility, you will set up and operate both manual and numerical control machines to cut, shape, and form metal workpieces to precise specifications. You will read and interpret blueprints and planning sheets, determine tooling requirements, and develop setup sheets and positioning fixtures to ensure accurate machining sequences. You will download part programs from our shop’s program storage and manipulate controls to start and monitor the machinery, address malfunctions or inefficiencies, and suggest program adjustments to enhance quality and production. You will also machine various materials, deburr, clean parts, and maintain a safe and efficient workspace.
Would you be a great CNC Machinist (2nd Shift)?
Solid foundation in machining principles with a Trade School certificate or relevant experience.
Effective communication skills – read and interpret blueprints, safety guidelines, operation manuals, and write basic reports.
Strong mathematical skills for measurements and ratios.
Proficiency operating lathes and mills while using precision measuring equipment.
Physical stamina to lift or move up to 50 pounds and manage exposure to loud noise and airborne particles.
Familiarity with CNC equipment and basic machine shop manuals.
