Job Overview Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) for a 13‑week travel assignment in Tracy, California. This role involves rapid‑response, high‑quality patient care in a fast‑paced emergency department. The ER RN will assess patient conditions, administer life‑saving treatments, coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, and document care in EMR.

Compensation Base pay range: compensation will be based on skills and experience. Discuss details with your recruiter.

Required Qualifications

At least 1 year of recent experience as an ER RN.

Valid RN license in California or state in compliance with regulations.

Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).

Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC).

Current PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certification.

Additional certifications such as TNCC, NIHSS, CPI, NRP, and SANE may be required.

Preferred Qualifications

TNCC, NIHSS, CPI, NRP, and SANE certifications.

Other certifications or licenses as required for the position.

Essential Work Functions

Rapidly assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on severity.

Explain emergency procedures and treatments to patients and families.

Administer prescribed medications and treatments per protocols.

Prepare equipment and aid physicians during emergency treatments.

Monitor patient comfort and safety; respond to immediate needs.

Observe and document patient conditions as required.

Take and monitor vital signs, addressing deviations promptly.

Respond to life‑saving situations based on emergency nursing standards.

Document comprehensive assessments, interventions, and outcomes in EMR.

Initiate patient education plans individualized to acute needs.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, paramedics, social workers, etc.

Perform additional duties as assigned within scope of practice.

Adhere to safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards.

Required Skills

Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication.

Proficient in reading and understanding written instructions.

Proficiency in PC skills.

Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment (50–100 lb), push, pull, bend.

Ability to work effectively with varied personnel and maintain professionalism.

Fine motor skills for manipulation, push/pull, and equipment handling.

Ability to cope with frequent public contact and deadlines under pressure.

Visual acuity and effective communication.
