B V L G A R I is seeking a Retail & Sales Director to join its Caribbean & Latin America regional office, in Coral Gables, Florida. As a member of the leadership team, the Retail & Sales Director will be responsible for leading the sales and business strategy for the Caribbean & Latin America region (excluding Mexico & Brazil). This role has dual responsibilities. They will be leading Directly Operated Stores (DOS) in Puerto Rico and St Barthelemy and directing the sales team for Business Partners, Franchise, and Wholesale accounts in the Caribbean & Latin America region, including Travel Retail (Cruise Ships). Their areas of business will focus on Jewelry, Watches, and Accessories (JWA) categories. Develop and implement strategic business plans for each store and business partners account, focusing on both short-term and long-term objectives to drive sales growth and profitability. Monitor sales performance metrics, track progress against targets, and implement actions as needed to enhance performance. Provide leadership, coaching, and development to Store Managers and BP Sales team to maximize their success and ensure a high standard of service excellence. Report regularly on market conditions, store visits, competition activities and distribution changes. Identify and report new business opportunities and maintain relationships with potential partners to expand the brand’s presence in assigned territory, and negotiate agreements. Support Store Managers and Area Sales Managers in generating new high-net-worth clients while developing innovative business ideas through networking. Liaise with Merchandising to ensure optimal product selection is available at each store, aligning with market demands and enhancing the customer experience. Partner with Marketing and CRM team on activities for new product launches, events, and initiatives to enhance visibility in the market and increase sales. Work closely with the Logistics team to conduct monthly reviews for the markets, and manage special allocations and sales for high-end jewelry and high-end watches. Partner with Human Resources on staffing and performance management needs. Retail specific
Guide Store Managers in the achievement of sales and profitability targets, ensuring coherent and excellent customer management and development. Monitor and challenge Store Managers on achievement of retail & CRM KPIs as well as leveraging spot incentives which will be set in partnership with Retail Performance & Retail Excellence teams. Coach and supervise Store Managers to ensure proper team management, client experience and business operations, proposing corrective action if needed. Monitor operations effectiveness and efficiency in all back-office processes and stock management, ensuring compliance with company guidelines and procedures, respect of health & safety, security, facilities and legal operations. Build and manage the Sales team to drive the business strategy and deliver the network, sales and profitability objectives. Build with the Sales team the yearly budget and 3-year-plan in partnership with Finance and Merchandising. Define and propose commercial strategies for each of the Franchise, Wholesale and Travel Retail channels in terms of openings/closings, incentives, service, order management. Create and maintain close relationships with key accounts as well as their top clients (where relevant) ensuring high service standards. Contribute to forecasting, order management, processes and operations, in cooperation with other functions (Business Units, Logistic, Administration). Control Sell-out vs Sell-in ratio and the establishment of Purchase Plans to ensure healthy sales & stock management for each account, working closely with Supply Chain team. Manage definition and approval for Returns and Incentives campaigns. Profile
Key Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required; Master’s Degree in Business preferred. Minimum of 15 years
of professional background, ideally within the retail / luxury environment. Experience working across commercial channels:
Business Partners, Franchises, Wholesale, Travel Retail & Distributors . Demonstrated ability to
lead, coach, and develop
teams to achieve maximum success and uphold high standards of service excellence. Strong
collaboration
skills, including the ability to work cross-functionally with diverse departments. Strong
interpersonal ,
negotiation , and
relationship-building Ability to navigate and thrive in a dynamic, multi-channel environment, handling complex situations in both retail and business partner. Agility and ability to react quickly with strong sense of urgency. Strong Excel and Power Point skills are Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be willing to travel up to 40-50% of the time. Fluency in Spanish is a must. French is a nice-to-have.
