Overview As the Director of Corporate Strategy, you will lead Honeywell’s corporate strategy and strategic planning initiatives. Your focus will be on developing and executing strategic plans, conducting market research and analysis, identifying growth opportunities, and managing cross‑functional collaborations to drive key initiatives. Your analytical expertise and experience in business and market intelligence will be essential to shaping Honeywell’s future.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of the annual Strategic Planning (STRAP) process, working closely with senior leadership and business units to define objectives, goals, and initiatives.
Align business unit strategies with the overall corporate strategy and facilitate ongoing communication with stakeholders.
Monitor progress against strategic goals, providing regular updates and recommendations to senior leadership.
Conduct competitive intelligence analysis—gathering and evaluating market and competitor data to uncover trends, opportunities, and potential threats.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop strategies that maintain competitive advantage and support strategic decision‑making.
Execute strategic initiatives identified through STRAP, including developing action plans, monitoring implementation, and adjusting tactics as needed.
Build strong relationships across the organization to ensure alignment, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
Communicate strategic direction and progress to senior leadership, business units, and stakeholders.
Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies that may impact Honeywell’s strategic planning.
Benchmark best practices in strategic planning and competitive intelligence to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Minimum of 8 years of experience in strategic planning, corporate strategy, consulting, private equity, finance, or related roles (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, ability to gather and analyze complex data.
Proven strategic thinking and planning abilities with a track record of successfully developing and executing strategies.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, adept at conveying complex concepts to technical and non‑technical audiences.
Strong leadership and influencing skills, collaborating and aligning diverse stakeholders.
Proven competitive intelligence and market research experience.
Strong project management skills, managing multiple priorities and delivering results under tight deadlines.
Proficiency with strategic planning tools and software.
