As a

Director of Media Strategy , you will be responsible for a small portfolio of game-changing brands that have engaged with Darkroom to accelerate their growth. This is a client-facing role that blends management consulting with marketing strategy leadership, capable of leveraging a Darkroom team to deliver growth. You should be a top performer in growth marketing and media strategy, with the ability to articulate insights and drive execution across channels. Ideal candidates are obsessed with growth strategy for consumer brands, experts at deploying efficient omni-channel paid advertising campaigns, with particular expertise in DTC growth. You should be comfortable managing GTM for fast-growth emerging brands pre-revenue as well as managing a $50M DTC P&L for a household consumer brand. This senior role is the lead on a Darkroom omni-channel client engagement, often spanning Amazon, DTC, TikTok Shop, and Retail. Mastery of the DTC function, understanding of how paid media drives growth across other channels, and strong cross-team communication are essential. You will directly manage the client relationship, scale ad accounts upwards of $1M USD per month, and oversee high-quality client relationship management. You will report to the Managing Director of the department and play a key role in scaling Darkroom’s footprint across a portfolio of high-growth consumer brands. You will own full funnel advertising efforts, including weekly client team touch-bases and QBRs, while collaborating with all Darkroom teams to meet performance goals. Develop integrated growth strategies that deliver millions in yearly growth for clients. Develop campaigns where all marketing channels work together; articulate overarching themes and trends across the paid media plan. Work on financial projections, budgets, P&L, and other financial documents for internal use and client communication as a north star for work. Collaborate with the data team to deliver financial projections, customer cohort analyses, and media plans. Coordinate with Darkroom Finance to project client spend and drive growth based on performance. Leverage data insights to craft unique marketing strategies across industries. Lead multiple teams of designers, paid acquisition marketers, retention marketers, and data analysts across the globe for client portfolios. Work with Darkroom Success to develop fractional and dedicated marketing org charts based on client needs. You should apply if this sounds like you

10+ years of paid media experience, with at least 7 years in DTC or E‑Commerce. Strong mastery of the DTC P&L and comfort with contribution margin, new customer revenue, and repeat revenue discussions. Understanding that revenue derives from AOV, CVR, CPM, and traffic, and ability to articulate this in a marketing pro-forma. Willingness to understand how integrated paid media drives growth across channels (Amazon, Retail) beyond DTC. Experience constructing e-commerce funnels with compelling offers and healthy AOV, and ability to translate funnels into client-facing strategies. Comfort tackling complex challenges with innovative growth strategies to unlock scale. A long-term view toward becoming a CMO or CEO of a brand. Interest in the intersection of growth marketing, creative advertising, and financial analysis. Strong attention to detail and project-management skills for large, multi-disciplinary teams. Flexibility to adapt to shifting client needs and ambiguity, with leadership and direction that keeps projects on track. Proficiency in financial projections and P&L management, capable of defending strategies to Private Equity firms, CEOs, CFOs, or a management team. You enjoy working with innovative data models to gain insights into product, customer, and marketing data. Comprehensive knowledge of the acquisition marketing landscape, tools, campaigns, metrics, and attribution methodologies. Experience building and leading cross-functional teams (retention, paid media, creative, data) to deliver efficient growth. Experience in online sales channel strategies (Shopify, Amazon, third-party fulfillment, wholesale). Understanding media measurement, MTA, MMM, and in-platform attribution; able to determine best measurement approaches for clients. Working at Darkroom
