Assistant Rowing Coach, Upper School
Join Sacred Heart Greenwich’s Athletic Department for the 2026 Spring season. Position Details
Reports to: Director of Athletics
FLSA Status: Stipend, part‑time position
Job Responsibilities
Implement instruction and training programs to prepare student‑athletes for competition, including plans for experienced and brand‑new rowers.
Collaborate with coaching staff to plan, organise and run daily practices.
Attend all practices and competitions at the direction of the Head Rowing Coach and Director of Athletics.
Supervise student‑athletes during all team activities.
Comply with Sacred Heart and sport‑specific organization policies and procedures.
Assist in maintaining equipment.
Communicate effectively with parents and students.
Seasons & Practice Times
Season starts March 2026; typical practice times 4:00–6:00 pm, Monday‑Friday; occasional weekends for races or morning training sessions.
Travel with the team for practices and races is required; races will require some weekend travel.
Qualifications The ideal coaching candidate will have experience with the sport at the college level, or equivalent, expertise in teaching sport‑specific skills and strategy, and the ability to relate and communicate effectively with young women. The candidate should be energetic, approachable, knowledgeable, and eager to be an active member of a dynamic athletic and learning community.
