About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled IT Delivery Lead with a strong background in the insurance industry to join our growing Insurance & Retirement Solutions team. This role is integral in the delivery of technology initiatives across the organization to drive business growth and transformational change.
You will lead technology delivery from ideation through deployment. The candidate will be part of the Solution Delivery organization responsible for the planning, management, and execution of technology initiatives in our transformation programs. Your accountabilities span resource planning and vendor management, project and financial management, and program/project governance to deliver technology outcomes in alignment with business commitments and funding.
Responsibilities
Facilitate business case completion and approval processes and associated governance for projects within assigned portfolio partnering with key business and technology partners
Define, document, and socialize the IT delivery structure to execute for projects and programs based upon project characteristics, size, and complexity
Prepare and maintain estimates, financial forecasts, and resource plans to enable and optimize delivery across all IT functions ensuring management within approved budget
Translate business roadmap and technology solution inputs into viable execution plans driving cross-functional alignment and commitment
Develop and manage integrated IT delivery plans effectively managing multiple workstreams and cross-organizational dependencies
Proactively address project issues, conflicts, and bottlenecks, working to find timely and effective solutions.
Own and execute all required IT delivery governance inclusive of reporting, change processes, and risk and issue management while driving transparency and ongoing communication
Ensure adherence to organizational policies, procedures, and regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
Lead delivery teams; partner with procurement and 3rd party vendors to develop and manage contracts
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance project management processes and methodologies
Skills And Qualifications
10+ years in IT delivery role leading large scale programs and projects
10+ years’ experience in the Insurance Industry preferred
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification, Agile / SAFe Certification preferred
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage large scale, multi-workstream IT programs from ideation to implementation
Experience leading both agile, waterfall and hybrid delivery models and forming delivery structures to optimize execution
Strong technical acumen with ability to effectively plan and communicate both with technical and business partners
Direct experience with contracting and vendor management
Strong financial acumen with demonstrated experience in project and program level forecasting and financial management
Working knowledge of the Solution Delivery Lifecycle (SDLC) and project governance activities
Superior communication and presentation skills with experience in Executive level presentation
Ability to influence and work across teams at all levels
Demonstrated experience managing a team of both matrixed and direct reports
Strong relationship and team building skills, unifying teams on common goals
Action Orientation – enjoys working hard and looks for challenges while taking ownership; able to act and react as necessary, even if limited information is available
Direct experience with contracting and vendor management
Work Location This position is based in Corebridge Financial’s Houston, TX office and is subject to our hybrid working policy, which gives colleagues the benefits of working both in an office and remotely.
Estimated Travel May include up to 25%.
