IT Governance Lead – Policies, Standards and Procedures

* Coordinate and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of IT policies, standards, and procedures (drafting, reviewing, updating, publishing, and retiring).* Develop and manage an annual maintenance schedule.* Work with IT subject matter experts (SMEs) and control owners to ensure content accuracy, relevance, and alignment with enterprise risk and compliance requirements.* Maintain a centralized repository for IT governance documentation and ensure version control and accessibility.* Track compliance deadlines and help enforce policy governance timelines (e.g., reviews, approvals, annual refresh).* Identify gaps, overlaps, and inconsistencies across documentation and recommend improvements.* Facilitate stakeholder feedback and change management processes for new or revised governance documents.* Support internal and external audit requests related to policy and procedure governance.* Stay current on industry standards and regulatory changes to inform documentation updates and improvements.* Providing training and communication support to stakeholders regarding IT policy expectations and compliance responsibility.* Minimum 4-6 years of experience in IT governance, risk management, IT compliance, or related fields.* Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.* Proven experience managing policy and procedure documentation in a regulated industry (e.g., financial services, insurance, etc.)* Familiarity with frameworks such as NIST CSF, ISO, COBIT, and ITIL.* Strong attention to detail, writing/editing skills, and ability to translate technical concepts into clear, user-friendly language.* Excellent Communication, collaboration, and organizational skills* Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Suite (especially Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint) and document lifecycle tools like Archer, ServiceNow, etc.* Project Management discipline and methodology* Ability to manage competing priorities — agility to manage competing, changing and sometimes conflicting priorities.* Organized self-starter with the ability to think critically.* Proven ability to influence, collaborate, and gain support for key initiatives.* CGEIT, CRISC, GRCP, CISSP or related certifications preferred.* Public Accounting or Large Bank experience preferred.* Change Management or process improvement certification (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) are a plus* Knowledge of SOX/CCPA/PCI DSS/NYDFS compliance requirements Experience supporting regulatory or internal audit examinations* A streamlined and well-maintained IT governance document library that enables audit readiness and compliance confidence.* Timely updates and publications of documents with Stakeholder buy-in.* Clear accountability for document ownership and compliance enforcement.* Increased awareness and adherence to IT governance standards across the organization.At Corebridge Financial, we prioritize the health, well-being, and work-life balance of our employees.
