TITLE: LITIGATION ASSOCIATE Firm X is a mid-sized general practice law firm with offices in the NJ/NY Metropolitan area seeking a Litigation Associate for their Parsippany, NJ office. Responsibilities
Represent clients in civil litigation, administrative proceedings, arbitrations, mediations, and other legal proceedings. Overseeing or processing E-filing in State and Federal Courts. Negotiate settlements and plea bargains. Respond to emergent filings and other client matters Draft, review and revise all legal filings including motions, briefs, answers, due process petitions, contracts, resolutions, settlement agreements, and other legal pleadings/documents as required. Requirements
Two (2+) years of Litigation experience - Insurance Defense and Title 59 Defending personal injury and other claims on behalf of large, self insured corporations, insurance companies and public entities Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school New Jersey Bar Admissions required Trial experience is a plus and the ideal person has proficient research and writing skills and experience in representing public and private clients. Title 59, Federal Court experience in civil rights cases and New York admission are also pluses. Ability to utilize advanced features of Microsoft Office suite, Coyote Analytics, I Manage, Westlaw and other online legal research platforms.
