The pay range per hour is $21.25 - $36.15. Pay is based on several factors that may include labor markets, education, work experience and certifications. ALL ABOUT GENERAL MERCHANDISE Expertise in operations, processes and efficiency to enable a consistent guest experience by ensuring product is set, merchandised and available, accurately priced and signed on the sales floor. The General Merchandise and Food Sales team leads inbound, outbound, replenishment and promotional signing processes for GM areas, manages inventory accuracy, merchandise setup and pricing, and may lead Food & Beverage activity for a fresh and food-safe experience. They enable efficient delivery of merchandise to guests by owning pick, pack and ship fulfillment work. Position Overview As a General Merchandise Team Leader, you will lead and develop a team, manage daily/weekly workload, and drive department priorities to achieve store sales goals while delivering a guest-first experience. You will coach and develop hourly team members and lead daily execution of tasks with guidance from your leader. Responsibilities

Execute daily/weekly workload to deliver department and store sales goals and guest engagement, including merchandising, pricing, setting and updating displays, sampling, promotions and price changes. Educate the team on operational procedures such as setting up and organizing merchandise, managing stock levels, maintaining sales floor areas, and impact on inventory and store profitability. Identify gaps in GM processes and assist with plans to resolve them with leader approval. Lead the daily operations of GM areas: receiving products, restocking shelves, organizing the backroom, arranging merchandise, and posting promotional signs. Backfill and lead a team of hourly team members, including interviewing, coaching, evaluating and retaining talent. Coach and train hourly team members to build a team under direction of the direct leader. Assign daily tasks to team members based on workload and guest traffic, aligned with weekly/monthly priorities. Help establish goals and hold team members accountable to expectations with leader guidance. Support efficient guest delivery by leading pick, pack and ship fulfillment; assess reporting to identify gaps and develop improvement plans with leadership guidance. Collaborate with all teams to identify priorities and ensure store readiness per leadership direction. Stay informed about trends and products to educate team members using available Target communications. Evaluate candidates for open positions and develop a guest-centric team, supporting onboarding and skill development. Work a schedule that aligns with guest and business needs (early morning, evening, overnight, weekends). Support guest services as a back-up cashier and promote compliance with federal, state and local laws (including adult beverage laws). Model inclusivity, ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; lead the team to demonstrate these values. Lead safety culture, identify hazards, and assist with incident response and timely reporting/investigation of injuries. Demonstrate physical security processes to enhance in-store security culture; support merchandise protection strategies. Model a welcoming guest experience by greeting guests and assisting with needs; communicate how we can help and thank guests for shopping Target. Follow safe and secure training and processes as applicable. Address store emergency and compliance needs; perform other duties as required by business needs. Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Age 18 or older. Previous retail experience is preferred but not required. Ability to lead and hold others accountable; strong communication skills; able to operate handheld scanners and other technology. Work independently and as part of a team; manage workload and prioritize tasks. Remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and complete multiple tasks within timeframes. Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members; effective communication skills. Access to all areas of the building; interpret instructions and reports; handle cash register operations as needed. Ability to climb ladders and handle/move merchandise safely; able to lift up to 44 pounds; flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays. Capable of working in varying temperatures and conditions; able to stay mobile for a scheduled shift.
