Akkodis is seeking a
Desktop Hardware Management Engineer
for a contract position in
Milford, OH . Candidates must have a solid understanding of device drivers, BIOS configuration, and PC platform evolution.
Rate Range:
$37/hour to $41/hour; negotiable based on experience, education, and location.
Responsibilities
Gather and analyze requirements, identifying gaps in desktop hardware and system configurations.
Prepare, execute, and maintain test cases to validate hardware functionality and system performance.
Manage and analyze test data, ensuring accurate defect documentation and reporting.
Utilize automated test scripts and defect tracking tools such as ALM and QTP for efficient testing workflows.
Ensure timely status reporting and adherence to project schedules, delivering results on time and within budget.
Support technical knowledge transfer and continuous skill enhancement through training, documentation, and collaboration.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, electronics, or a related technical field.
3–5 years of experience in desktop hardware testing and validation.
Strong understanding of device drivers, BIOS configuration, and PC platform evolution.
Proficiency in using automated test scripts and defect tracking tools such as ALM and QTP.
