Akkodis is seeking a Desktop Hardware Management Engineer for a contract position in Milford, OH. Candidates must have a solid understanding of device drivers, BIOS configuration, and PC platform evolution.

Rate Range: $37/hour to $41/hour; negotiable based on experience, education, and location.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze requirements, identifying gaps in desktop hardware and system configurations.
• Prepare, execute, and maintain test cases to validate hardware functionality and system performance.
• Manage and analyze test data, ensuring accurate defect documentation and reporting.
• Utilize automated test scripts and defect tracking tools such as ALM and QTP for efficient testing workflows.
• Ensure timely status reporting and adherence to project schedules, delivering results on time and within budget.
• Support technical knowledge transfer and continuous skill enhancement through training, documentation, and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, electronics, or a related technical field.
• 3–5 years of experience in desktop hardware testing and validation.
• Strong understanding of device drivers, BIOS configuration, and PC platform evolution.
• Proficiency in using automated test scripts and defect tracking tools such as ALM and QTP.
