Purpose The Product Manager, Pt Mgmt. & Sensors Solutions will be a member of the Patient Management Solutions Platform Team. This role will drive Johnson & Johnson’s Heart Recovery growth strategy by integrating innovative digital solutions and patient-centered approaches to transform clinical pathways, reduce variability of care when on Impella support, and improve clinical outcomes. This role will have responsibilities surrounding insight generation, product development execution, and global launch excellence. Your contributions toward bringing novel patient management solutions to market, with a focus on supporting sensors and imaging solutions will further reduce burden of care and increase access to Impella therapy across global markets.

Responsibilities

Build deep understanding of target markets, including evolving technology and healthcare trends, competitive dynamics, unmet needs, and geographic-specific factors

Partner with internal and external stakeholders to identify growth opportunities and unmet patient, clinician and business needs

Gain actionable customer insight, testimonies and recommendations by executing primary/secondary research, visiting customers, conducting advisory board and engaging internal/external stakeholders

Work with early adopters through FIM, pilot sites and LMR to collect feedback and refine our product offering and market approach

Work closely with strategic and regional marketing to develop and execute go-to-market strategy, value proposition, and key claims in our global markets to ensure broad success for launches.

Collaborate on the development of product portfolio long-term vision & roadmap, evaluation of strategic and financial attractiveness of growth opportunities to improve patient outcomes

Develop business plan, initial value proposition, go-to-market approach, marketing specifications, partnership opportunities for new solutions and enhancements to existing solutions in collaboration with global strategic marketing

Manage upstream portfolio planning activities in various stages of the product life cycle from launch through phase out

Help advance new product/solution opportunities from ideation to active product development

Represent global strategic marketing on cross-functional product development teams to ensure strategic rationale and requirements including financial assumptions are aligned

Qualifications / Requirements Required Education & Experience

5+ years of proven full-cycle (concept to launch) Program/Product Management experience with demonstrated launch success of new technologies, preferably in digital/capital

Bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred

Device Industry or Clinical background in cardiology, cardiac surgery, or heart failure preferred

Solid business acumen and knowledge of medical device or biotechnology environment

Track record with a variety of voice of the customer (VOC) collection methodologies; skilled at VOC interpretation in order to define market requirements

Familiarity with medical device product development process/methodology highly preferred

Experience with product development efforts involving close collaboration with clinical advisors or advisory board preferred

Required Skills & Abilities

Strong analytical and data-interpretation skills – demonstrates comfort making data-supported recommendations and building a strong business case/justification to gain organizational support

Able to effectively influence and collaborate with multiple stakeholders located across different geographic locations

Strong individual contributor – speaks up when important information or questions must be raised, and acts when issues must be addressed

Good organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines in an environment of competing priorities

Able to routinely work on multiple tasks, with multiple people, while effectively prioritizing

Able to develop strong relationships with internal and external customers, clinical & sales partners

Ability to travel domestically and internationally 25-50%, dependent on the needs of the program at any given phase

The anticipated base pay range for this position is: $100,000 - $172,500

Benefits Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees and/or eligible dependents are eligible to participate in the following Company-sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance. Employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)). This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program. Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, Employees are eligible for the following time off benefits: Vacation – 120 hours per calendar year; Sick time – 40 hours per calendar year; Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – 13 days per calendar year; Work, Personal and Family Time – up to 40 hours per calendar year; Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child; Condolence Leave – 30 days for an immediate family member, 5 days for an extended family member; Caregiver Leave – 10 days; Volunteer Leave – 4 days; Military Spouse Time-Off – 80 hours.
