Job Description As the Area Specialist, you will coordinate personnel to achieve the desired production schedule.
You will work closely with training specialists to ensure cGMP compliance before assigning people to areas and serve as the line subject‑matter expert for area SOPs.
Your focus will be on analyzing current and proposed manufacturing processes and technologies to recommend improvements that optimize production, increase capacity, reduce waste, and meet regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
Provide effective day‑to‑day leadership and oversight for small groups ranging in size from 5 to 25 team members
Schedule team members proficiently to achieve target turnaround times and meet production schedule targets
Serve as the area SME for SOP updates and proposed equipment/process changes
Partner with training peers to drive training of team members
Spend 50% of the production day in the manufacturing areas, driving the teams and building rapport
Coordinate required activities with other departments to ensure completion of production schedules
Participate in RCAs, CAPAs, change controls, and other process improvements
Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent required
Associate or Bachelor degree desired
Lean principle certification (6 Sigma or otherwise) desired
OSHA 10 certification desired
2 years manufacturing experience required
Leadership experience desired
Pharmaceutical manufacturing experience desired
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
SAP experience required
Trackwise and MasterControl experience required
Respirator clearance required
Shift Weekend Days, Friday–Sunday E/O Thursday 6am‑6pm
Compensation & Benefits Area Specialist I: $38/hr, depending on experience, with opportunity for growth, promotion, and annual raises.
Shift differential pay applied to selected shifts
