Summary :
The Conflicts Analyst is responsible for conducting conflict checks and reviewing potential conflicts of interest for new clients, matters, and incoming attorneys. Reporting to the Director of Conflicts, the analyst supports the Firm’s compliance standards by maintaining accurate conflicts databases, analyzing relationships and information, and assisting in the resolution of potential conflicts. The role works closely with attorneys, the Office of General Counsel, Firm staff, and other members of the Conflicts Department to identify ethical and business‑related conflicts and to secure necessary approvals as part of the new business and new hire processes.
Responsibilities
Identify potential conflicts issues and assist in conflicts resolutions.
Perform corporate research on all parties provided in the conflicts check request, adding any additional parties, as necessary.
Perform the research and analysis of conflicts information in the InTapp database.
Assist in maintaining the integrity of the conflicts database by verifying information on the new client/matter forms and updating or correcting information when necessary.
Provide attorneys with a detailed analysis explaining any potential issues identified.
Respond to inquiries about the information contained in conflicts reports and provide guidance to attorneys in interpreting this information.
Education Required
Bachelor’s degree required, Law degree from an accredited law school preferred.
Experience Required
2–4 years of experience in a law firm or professional services environment.
Prior conflicts checking experience required.
Familiarity with InTapp or similar systems is a plus.
Skills Required
Excellent analytical, research, and critical‑thinking skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet tight deadlines, and adapt in a fast‑paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
High degree of professionalism, discretion, and integrity in handling confidential information.
Comfortable communicating with partners, lawyers, and other staff at all levels in a professional manner.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
The expected salary range for this position ranges from $90,000‑$100,000. Salary offers are based on relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications. In addition to a base salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
