Deputy Team Manager

to join the

South Oxfordshire Adult Mental Health Team (AMHT)

within the Wallingford, Henley and Thame locality. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified and ambitious individual with experience in mental health community to further develop your managerial and leadership skills whilst continuing to undertake varied and more complex clinical work, with a good split between leadership and clinical work. This is a key leadership role within a well-established, multidisciplinary team that consists of both highly experienced and newly qualified professionals, all committed to delivering high-quality care to individuals experiencing mental health challenges in our local community. Main duties of the job

As

Deputy Team Manager , you will support the

Consultant Psychiatrist (Clinical Lead)

and

Team Manager (Operational Lead) , to provide clinical and leadership support to the wider team. Your responsibilities will include: Providing

day-to-day management and clinical supervision

to staff. Supporting the

ongoing development and performance management

of the team. Undertaking

clinical duties , including duty shifts, conducting assessments and managing a small caseload. Liaison with other services and stakeholders as required, often acting as a link person for complex situations. Support of investigating informal and formal complaints as necessary. Acting as

Duty Manager

on a rota that does include weekends and out of hours working (full shadowing support will be provided for those new to this responsibility). Deputising for the

Team Manager

as required. Please note, this role requires you to have access to a vehicle and a valid UK driving licence, please do not apply if you do not possess this. About us

Qualifications

Relevant Professional Qualification (RMN or Occupational Therapist). To hold an advanced professional/clinical qualification (e.g. AMHP, CBT, DBT, NMP) Qualification in management and leadership within a healthcare setting Additional Skills

To be able to use email, internet, word, spreadsheets and databases. English verbal and written communication skills Knowledge and Skills

Experience of providing leadership Experience of working with Adults with acute mental illness A specialist knowledge and clinical expertise in community mental health in line with professional requirements To have experience in producing reports and presenting data.
