As a member of the Agile team, the Product Owner II represents the voice of the customer and the organization through delivery of business value.
Our program is a multi‑year, flagship initiative driving business transformation within the Workers Compensation line of business.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize features and stories.
Lead and manage the product backlog; ensure clear, actionable user stories.
Own product KPIs and drive value to customers.
Participate in Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, demos, retrospectives.
Work with cross‑functional squads, architects, and technology teams to remove roadblocks and align on product strategy.
Analyze feasibility, cost of delay, and other factors to make informed decisions.
Understand regulatory and compliance constraints and prioritize accordingly.
Maintain product health and support long‑term viability.
Contribute to portfolio‑level planning and strategy.
Communicate expected value and changes in value to stakeholders.
Conduct customer‑driven design and usability testing.
Leverage market & industry analysis for product positioning.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or a related field.
3–5 years of experience working with Agile teams, 7+ years in business, technology, or consulting.
Strong communication and stakeholder influence skills.
Decision‑making skills under pressure.
Excellent problem‑solving and leadership abilities.
Experience in the insurance industry preferred.
Knowledge of products and portfolio management preferred.
Innovation mindset to drive change amid uncertainty.
Location & Work Schedule Hybrid schedule in Boston, MA; Portsmouth, NH; Seattle, WA; Indianapolis, IN; Columbus, OH; Plano, TX – 2 days per week in office.
