The accounting manager will be responsible for handling payables and receivables, along with the audit of revenues. The manager will assist the Assistant General Manager / General Manager by completing financials, payables, income journal deposits, and other sensitive tasks. Hotel Values

Accounts Payable
Daily processing of accounts payable transactions, including purchase orders, receiving reports, invoices, and check requests. Maintain accounts payable controls in accordance with hotel standards, including appropriate expensing of invoices in accordance with the Uniform System of Accounts for Hotels. Maintain accounts payable files, including invoices paid and unpaid. Complete accurately the income journal, payables, receivables, and deposits. Accurately code income and expenses, keep up on checkbook accounting, and complete P&L and other financial tasks critical to assisting corporate in managing the hotel financials. Work directly with the General Manager in budget preparation and planning process. Monitor budget, revenues, and expenses to ensure the hotel is on track to attain goals. Outline for departments any excess expense, along with recommendations for correction. Verbal and written communication with vendors, and internal customers as needed to perform job duties. Research issues with invoices and guest folios and make adjustments and corrections without supervision. Prepare brand reports, and complete weekly, monthly, semi‑annual, and annual reports for brand compliance. Accounts Receivable
Maintain responsibility for the billing of accounts receivable (AR) daily. Reconcile daily cash deposits and credit card transmissions. Perform billing and collection efforts, which may include collection calls. Resolve all credit card disputes and chargebacks in a timely manner. Ensure timely resolution of guest phone inquiries, respond quickly to requests in a friendly manner, and follow up to ensure guest satisfaction. Reconcile taxes daily. General Cashier
Maintain controls for all cashier banks, house banks, and petty cash funds in the hotel according to company policy. Prepare all bank deposits, due backs, and back change orders according to company policies and procedures. Daily Revenue Audit
Perform accounting review of prior day’s revenue receipts, balancing documentation and subsidiary systems to POS. Create income journal to be posted to the General Ledger. Create and distribute daily revenue and payroll report. Research and resolve variances as may be detected during the audit. Education / Experience
Hotel accounting experience and knowledge are highly desired. Required Skills
Microsoft Excel and Word knowledge required. Accounting software knowledge is highly desired. Travel Required
Minimal local travel. Working Environment
