Job Description And Duties In accordance with CCR 249.3, this job control may be used to fill subsequent vacancies. This position is subject to the Department of Conservation’s Conflict of Interest code. Candidates may be precluded from employment with the department if they, or their spouse, hold interests in oil, gas, or geothermal entities. Under the direction of the Administrative Support Unit Manager (Staff Services Manager I), the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) is responsible for overseeing and executing a range of administrative support functions. This includes, but is not limited to, reviewing and analyzing CalGEM documents and processes, public records analysis, independently preparing required documents for the executive team report, business process; coordinating budget reports, organizing and maintaining tracking of public comments and requests. The incumbent will provide a more complex analytical and administrative duties in support of Headquarters’ business operations, special projects and be responsible for identifying and analyzing processes to improve operating efficiency and effectiveness with the Division. The incumbent must demonstrate a high degree of independence, innovative ideas, creativity and critical thinking.
