The senior account executive role promotes and sells company products within a defined geographic territory by developing new accounts and expanding usage of our products within current accounts.

You will build and maintain relationships with surgeons and hospital staff, provide product support in the operating room, and collaborate with national accounts and reimbursement teams.

Responsibilities

Promotes products by scheduling sales calls to meet or exceed revenue and unit growth objectives assigned by the company on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

Develops and implements sales strategies by determining needs (clinical, economic, etc.) of existing and potential accounts to effectively sell the company's products in the OR.

Creates action plans (weekly, quarterly, monthly) for territory by analyzing contract access, sales figures, and reports to identify trends and opportunities.

Provides product support to surgeons and hospital personnel in the OR, focusing on lower extremity, plastics, vascular, orthopaedic trauma, and orthopaedic oncology.

Targets events and opportunities to engage multiple surgeons within a specialty, leveraging corporate resources.

Demonstrates a customer‑first mentality, delivering a consistently high level of customer service.

Responds to customer needs regarding products and services by delivering creative solutions promptly and in compliance with regulations.

Builds and maintains meaningful relationships with decision makers to create long‑term customers.

Educates customers on safe and effective use of company products through presentations and demonstrations.

Maintains collaboration with national accounts and reimbursement teams to support prescribing physicians and billing departments.

Provides accurate and timely reporting and tracking of sales activities, product inventory, and territory sales forecasts.

Stays informed of industry trends and competitive activities, maintaining a keen knowledge of the local market.

Collaborates with the direct reporting manager to determine resource needs for achieving sales objectives.

Supports trade shows and drives surgeon attendance from assigned territories.

Education/Experience

B.A. or B.S. (or equivalent) required.

5+ years in medical device or pharmaceutical outside sales.

Prior sales experience in the operating room.

Work Environment

Position is field‑based with travel 80–90% of the time within the assigned territory.

Must adhere to dress code, credentialing, and registration requirements, including vaccination.

Must be physically capable of standing for long hours in the operating room during cases.
