ICU Travel Nurse Job Details
Location: San Leandro, CA 94577 – Prime Bay Area location with access to parks, waterfront trails, and diverse local culture
Unit: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) – High‑demands clinical setting
Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
Start Date: October 1, 2025
End Date: January 3, 2026
Duration: 13-week contract
Shift: 12‑hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Estimated Weekly Salary: $2620 - $2810
Registered Nurse (RN) Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience (within the last 3 years)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field
Preferred: 2 years of recent ICU experience
Preferred: NIH Stroke Scale Certificate
Preferred: CCRN certification
Preferred: Dialysis, SLED, or equivalent clinical experience
ICU Nurse Responsibilities
Provide high‑quality, compassionate care to critically ill patients in the ICU
Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and progress
Administer medications, treatments, and advanced life support interventions
Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, procedures, and care plans
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
