Location: San Leandro, CA 94578 (East Bay, Bay Area)
Healthcare Setting: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Assignment Type: Travel Nursing
Start Date: November 17, 2025
End Date: February 28, 2026 (potential extension to April 17, 2026)
Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:30)
Hours per Week: 36
Unit Beds: 24
Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics
Patient Ratios: 1:2
Weekend Coverage: Required
Floating: May float to Alameda Hospital & Highland Hospital (no mid-shift float)
Estimated Weekly Pay: $2120 - $2270
ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of recent ICU RN experience in acute care settings
Active California RN license (required at time of submission)
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (required); PALS and CCRN (preferred)
EPIC charting experience preferredCOVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
Ability to work 2-3 holidays during assignment
Proficient in arterial line management, ventilator care, central line management, cardiac/vasoactive drips, and trauma/neuro ICU procedures
Strong communication and teamwork skills
ICU Nurse Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill adult and geriatric patients in the ICU
Monitor and manage complex medical conditions, including trauma, neuro, MICU, SICU, and cardiovascular devices (excluding open heart)
Administer emergency medications, blood products, and titrate cardiac/vasoactive drips
Perform advanced procedures: arterial and central line management, ICP monitoring, ventilator management
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
Float to other units (PCU, Telemetry) as needed, maintaining high standards of nursing care
Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC (preferred)
Adhere to infection prevention protocols and isolation precautions
