Location: San Leandro, California 94578 (Bay Area) Assignment Dates: 11/17/2025 – 2/28/2026 (possible extension to 4/17/2026) Healthcare Setting: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Shift: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts/week (07:00 – 19:30) Weekly Hours: 36 Patient Ratio: 1:2 Unit Size: 24 beds Float: May float to Alameda Hospital & Highland (advance notice; no mid-shift floating) Weekend Coverage: Required Orientation: 12 hours (includes e-learning modules) Estimated Weekly Salary: $2100-$2250 ICU RN Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of recent ICU Registered Nurse experience Active California RN license (required) Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (required); PALS and CCRN (preferred) Experience with EPIC charting system (preferred) COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered) Ability to work 2-3 holidays during assignment Commitment to full assignment dates Proficient in ventilator management, arterial/central line care, titration of cardiac/vasoactive drips, and emergency interventions ICU Nurse Responsibilities
Provide high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill adult and geriatric patients in a mixed specialty ICU (trauma, neuro, MICU, SICU, CV devices) Monitor and manage patients requiring advanced interventions: ventilators, arterial lines, central lines, cardiac devices Administer emergency medications and titrate drips per protocols Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans Float to other units (PCU, Telemetry) as needed, ensuring patient safety and care standards Document care accurately using EPIC electronic health record system Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical training modules Apply now to join our healthcare team in San Leandro, California and take the next step in your ICU nursing career!
