NDT Global, a private Company awarded Deloitte Best Managed Company, is going through a period of significant growth and we are seeking an experienced and strategic
Tax Manager
to manage all German corporate tax matters, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations, handling audits, and supporting tax planning and reporting. This role will work closely with the Global Tax Director and collaborate with local and regional accounting teams to ensure accurate tax filings, optimize tax processes and mitigate risks.
Responsibilities
Ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of all German corporate income tax returns, trade tax and other local tax filings
Coordinate the preparation and review of tax disclosures in statutory financial statements and local reporting packages
Monitor changes in German tax legislation and assess their impact on the business
Manage all German tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities and act as the primary point of contact for German tax authorities and external advisors
Assess and manage tax risks, implementing internal controls as needed
Support local and international tax planning initiatives in alignment with group tax strategy
Provide tax input on business projects, restructurings, intercompany transactions, and transfer pricing
Support the maintenance of transfer pricing documentation relevant to European entities
Liaise with the regional tax accounting teams to ensure correct tax treatment of transactions and alignment with financial reporting
Report regularly to the Global Tax Director on German tax developments, risks and opportunities
Work closely with external tax advisors where required and auditors to ensure technical accuracy and compliance
Requirements & Qualifications
University degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
German certified tax advisor (Steuerberater)
qualification is highly preferred
Minimum of five years of tax experience in public accounting and/or industry
Experience with
multinational or multi-entity corporate structures
preferable
Strong knowledge of German corporate income tax, trade tax and tax audit procedures
Experience with tax accounting under local GAAP and IFRS
Must be proficient in spoken and written German and English
Strong systems proficiency on ERP (SAP or similar)
Advancedknowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Skillset
Proven ability to manage tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities
Ability to ensure
timely and accurate tax filings
across all relevant tax types
Support for
local and international tax planning
initiatives
Ability to provide
