Department Overview

The Senior Tax Analyst, Global Tax Accounting plays a critical role in supporting the Company's US GAAP Tax Provision and Reporting obligations. This position focuses on accurate and timely preparation and review of global tax provision and reporting workstreams, collaborating across the Global Tax Department as well as other areas in Global Finance. Duties

Support the Tax Accounting Group in preparation of the Company’s quarterly and annual US GAAP tax provision: including gathering data, preparing calculations, and collaborating with team members within the Global Tax Department. Work cross functionally with other departments within McDonald’s, including but not limited to Corporate Accounting, Financial Forecasting, McD Global Service Center, and Treasury to obtain inputs and relevant data for quarterly and annual tax calculations including external and internal reporting. Assist in preparing/reviewing international US GAAP quarterly provisions, including learning and implementing new Global systems and technology as part of the company modernization initiative. Develop strong working knowledge of US GAAP tax accounting concepts and ASC740 rules and apply these concepts to a variety of tax situations. Analyze, review, and understand tax account balances (income statement and balance sheet) and prepare journal entries and account reconciliations. Assist in calculation and review of Uncertain Tax Position reserves on a worldwide basis, including memos and analysis. Ensure appropriate SOX Compliance throughout Global Tax. Perform ASC740 research and document tax positions taken for tax reporting purposes and review/update the Company’s process memos. Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for automation, process optimization, and technology adoption. The candidate should bring a mindset of innovation and adaptability to support the evolving needs of the tax function. Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to adapt to technological change and contribute to digital transformation initiatives. Experience with or interest in emerging technologies and process automation. A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous learning Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 2-4 years of experience working in a Global or US Domestic Tax Compliance/Provision environment in either a public accounting or corporate setting. Complex analytical and strong problem-solving skills, with the ability and desire to work in a flexible, fast-paced environment while handling multiple priorities and tight deadlines. Strong business and financial acumen and strong communication skills. Experience with Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Teams, Powerpoint, and Outlook). Alteryx, Data Visualization Tools (e.g., Microsoft PowerBI/Tableau) and other Automation tools is a strong plus. Experience with OneSource Suite and Oracle ERP is a strong plus Compensation
