Collect and analyze data, transforming test results into actionable insights for continuous product quality improvement. Problem-Solving Pro:
Be the expert in troubleshooting quality issues, collaborating with production teams to swiftly resolve any batch inconsistencies. Safety & Standards Enforcer:
Maintain a smooth and safe laboratory environment, ensuring all procedures and equipment adhere to stringent health and safety regulations. Follow safety, quality standards, and good manufacturing practices (GMPs). Review and meet quality standards for products, including coding, carbonation, pressures, and other specifications. Monitor production lines to ensure products meet specifications and are defect-free. Isolate and place out-of-specification products on hold. Conduct sensory testing for flavor, appearance, and odor to ensure conformity with reference standards. Communicate effectively with production staff regarding testing results and adjustments needed. Operate, maintain, and calibrate lab instruments and equipment. Comply with customer standards, quality requirements, and all applicable regulations. Assist in maintaining a tidy and organized lab workspace. Complete required documentation accurately for the products involved. Verify and analyze batch attributes, including taste and odor comparisons. Exhibit excellent prioritization skills and attention to detail. Work independently and proactively improve job knowledge. Ensure a keen eye for quality inspections and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills fostering teamwork and accountability. Stay motivated and hold high performance expectations. Perform duties related to checking in materials and maintaining sample libraries as required. Complete additional tasks as assigned by management. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; an Associate's degree in chemistry or related field is preferred. Previous laboratory or quality control experience, preferably in the food and beverage industry. Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures is essential for maintaining a safe work environment. Compliance with Quality Management System Policies and Food Safety Management requirements is required. Ability to work overtime as needed. Effective communication skills, including reading and comprehending instructions in English. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential. Ability to prioritize and adjust workloads according to business needs. Mathematical skills for basic calculations and formulas. Proficiency in basic computer operations for data entry and document management. Must obtain Food Safety Training (Qualified Individual). Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs and prolonged physical activity. Close visual acuity for data analysis, visual inspection, and working with small components. Ability to work in varied conditions, including exposure to heat and dust.
