As part of our Water Business Group, you’ll help shape how communities manage water for generations to come. From delivering safe drinking water and treating wastewater responsibly to developing sustainable water supplies and protecting lives and property through flood control, your work will directly support public health, environmental sustainability, and infrastructure resilience. Whether you are modernizing aging systems or pioneering innovative approaches, your contributions will make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
In this role, you’ll lead a team of nearly 1,500 technical professionals focused on managing all aspects of Earth’s most vital resource—water. Your goal‑oriented, connector mindset will allow you to develop unique strategies and identify synergies across complex challenges facing our clients.
Primary Role & Responsibilities
Path to Goal – In coordination with the Director of Business Development, identify, monitor and support attainment of the Regional net fee booked plan using the Path to Goal concept to drive consistent communication across the Water organization.
Strategic Client Development Leadership & Assistance – Assist and collaborate with Water leadership in defining and executing strategies for engaging clients within the region.
Strategic and Sector Pursuit Leadership / Major Campaign Coordination – Lead Major Campaigns in the $5 to $20 M range, driving the identification, development, and qualification of potential Regional Major Campaign opportunities.
Strategic Initiative Development – Engage Market Sector and Area Client Development staff in developing and executing key market sector initiatives identified during strategic planning and annual alignment meetings.
Alignment of Resources – Coordinate internal resources to meet client needs and achieve Path to Goal objectives.
Secondary Responsibilities
NFB and Marketing Cost Tracking – Monitor and communicate progress toward period and annual net fee book booking goals. Work closely with operational leadership to observe trends, adjust projections, and make required plan alterations to achieve year‑over‑year goals and cost‑management targets.
Other Initiatives – Assist in the development of the annual strategic planning effort.
Controlling – Assist in monitoring operational metrics for the region as required.
Staffing – Prioritize strategic hires, identify and recruit qualified candidates.
Preferred Qualifications
Local candidates are preferred.
Experience developing and supporting implementation of growth strategies.
Proven skill in managing and marketing sales teams across multiple Southeast regions (North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia/Alabama, Kentucky/Tennessee, and Florida/Puerto Rico).
Required Qualifications
A minimum of 15 years relevant industry experience.
Demonstrated self‑starter abilities with a history of completing projects with limited oversight.
Deep knowledge of A/E/C industry standard procurement of professional services.
Strong leadership, motivation, and inspiration skills.
Established client and industry partner network.
Experience in sales and developing winning strategies.
Strong financial acumen and negotiation skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Willingness and ability to travel and engage with clients in person.
Experience growing programs in highly competitive markets.
Experience winning high‑value contracts in the A/E/C industry.
Ability to produce compelling technical content.
