We are seeking an ambitious, experienced Director of the Insurance Management Team (IMT) to lead operational oversight and strategy for a segment of DaVita's Insurance Management Team and related activities. IMT’s insurance educators work directly with patients to solve insurance challenges, understand financial and healthcare implications of insurance decisions, and navigate government, non‑profit, and private resources. This teammate‑facilitated patient education is complemented by a varied, multi‑channel patient engagement strategy, including digital, direct mail, and telehealth campaigns.
This may be considered a remote role.
Key Responsibilities
Accountability to driving patient insurance retention and reducing rates of uninsured.
Challenge status quo operations to identify and implement transformative change.
Identify and influence strategic business relationships, internally and externally.
Develop and implement strategic planning initiatives that maximize insurance retention.
Establish short‑ and long‑term goals for teams based on key performance metrics.
Oversee processes to ensure effectiveness and identify improvements and enhancements.
Identify areas of improvement and create plans to resolve when performance does not meet stated goals.
Break down complex problems into digestible pieces and develop a robust approach to solve.
Identify and create solutions to address common patient insurance challenges and education needs.
Develop and understand the associated systems and support departments that directly impact patient insurance & support.
Maintain a current and thorough knowledge of related healthcare revenue operations issues and trends.
Coach, motivate, and develop teammates through formal and informal feedback and development opportunities in alignment with DaVita’s Mission and Core Values.
Lead a large, diverse, and dispersed team.
Build new and lasting partnerships with multiple Field Operation Divisional Vice Presidents and Senior Vice Presidents to build insurance support plans in their markets.
Lead a growing, socially responsible business that strives to be the role model for American Healthcare.
Prepare and communicate insights, key milestones, recommendations, and summaries from analysis to executive leaders.
Prepare executive‑level presentations to share with Revenue Operations and Field Operations leadership.
Collaborate closely with senior leaders and frontline teammates across teams focused on field operations, insurance support, and patient engagement.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum of five (5) years of related experience required.
Experience implementing complex processes that span across multiple geographies.
Experience with strategic planning and implementation of large, complex new initiatives.
Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing and evolving work environment.
Overnight travel 3–4 times a year for meetings.

Compensation Base pay range: $114,500.00 – $206,500.00 per year. Compensation may also include incentive pay and other benefits.
