We are searching for a Director of Engineering to work with the Resort Leadership Team to develop maintenance programs, engage team members, maintain an accurate budget, and find opportunities that better equip the organization to achieve its established annual business goals.

Additional Responsibilities

Develop and complete pivotal initiatives for the Engineering department and adjust operations to meet strategic goals and interests of Resort Operations.

Conduct weekly walk‑throughs of each resort tower to visually assess building structures.

Maintain the level of safety, efficient maintenance, and operation of all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems, and related equipment.

Assign routine maintenance tasks in public spaces, meeting rooms, guest rooms, outlets, back‑of‑the‑house spaces, and grounds.

Assign and verify completion with all Maintenance Technicians of all repair, replacement, and renovation projects to offices and employee work areas.

Ensure the property’s Emergency Preparedness and Safety Awareness Plan(s) are updated and current at all times.

Ensure compliance with Hilton and Hilton Grand Vacations Brand Standards related to engineering, such as preventive maintenance of each unit twice per year.

Maintain an accurate inventory of operating supplies and ensure purchasing procedures maintain an adequate supply.

Ensure all department assets, equipment, supplies, and storage are accurately locked and secured.

Develop and maintain human resource management practices performed by subordinates, including recruitment, performance management, and corrective action in partnership with the HR Business Partner.

Partner with Senior Leadership to prepare Reserve spend projects and Capital Projects.

Develop and lead financial spending of operations related to the annual HOA budget, Reserve budget, and Capital Budget.

Participate in the MOD program as assigned by Senior Leadership.

Other duties as assigned by Senior Leadership.

Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent

5+ years of engineering experience in hotels or related industry

5+ years in a leadership role in a similar environment

Fully flexible schedule – weekends as needed

EPA – OSHA 10‑30 – CPO, CPR/AED certifications

HVAC certification

Ability to write and speak English to comprehend and communicate job functions to engineering staff

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Preferred

BA/BS bachelor’s degree
