High-Speed Analog EDA/CAD Engineer – Sunnyvale, CA (Hybrid)
Work Mode: Hybrid (Onsite 3 days/week + as needed for meetings)
Job Description We are seeking an experienced EDA/CAD Engineer to support SiGe and CMOS research, development, and high-speed analog ASIC design for the Optical Modules Group (OMG) in Sunnyvale, CA. This role is hands‑on and covers all phases of the analog/mixed‑signal design tool flow, including PDK installation, tool customization, layout/tapeout support, and foundry interface. The engineer will collaborate with a small, agile team and support complex high‑speed analog IC design workflows.
Key Responsibilities
Install, customize, and support external PDKs for SiGe and CMOS processes
Maintain Custom IC and RF CAD environments for high-speed (10–40 Gb/s) mixed‑signal IC design
Support the design team through layout, archive, and tapeout processes
Lead and improve design standards, IC development processes, and EDA tool flows
Interface with foundries and contribute to tool evaluations and support initiatives
Required Skills & Expertise
5+ years in high-speed analog/mixed‑signal IC CAD support
Expert-level experience with SKILL programming
Strong understanding of layout concepts for high-speed analog/mixed‑signal ICs
Experience with FlexLM license management
Strong working knowledge of UNIX/Linux
Preferred / Bonus Skills

Advanced modeling & simulation knowledge
Education Requirements
BS in Electrical Engineering or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience
MS with 4+ years, or PhD with 3+ years experience also acceptable
Fast‑paced, innovative team setting
Must be a proactive individual contributor with strong troubleshooting abilities
Ability to support EPDA users and resolve technical challenges quickly and effectively
