Clinic Coordinator
– Endocrine Thyroid Clinic Full Time Job Code: 86534BR Responsibilities
Under the general direction and supervision of the Practice Manager and Practice Supervisor, perform and prioritize multiple tasks and work well with staff and faculty in a fast paced and complex patient care environment. A high degree of independence, initiative, assertiveness, and diplomacy is necessary in daily practice. Provide analytical and clinical support for the clinic providers who have clinics at different UCSF locations as needed. Identify and implement patient intake coordination to ensure high quality service to patients.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Department Description
The department of Endocrinology & Metabolism is a growing multi-specialty practice spanning over four locations including Parnassus, Mount Zion, Mission Bay and San Mateo. The department treats all levels of Endocrine, Bone, Diabetes and Thyroid from basic to complex conditions for the adult patient population. The department is a high functioning and fast paced ambulatory clinic that is consultation and medication management based.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. Knowledge of ambulatory care clinic practice management including patient care workflows and processes. Proven ability to apply knowledge of medical center policies and procedures and related legislative, accreditation, licensing and compliance environments to assess and monitor clinic operations. Excellent communication skills; includes active listening and critical thinking. Demonstrated ability to clearly and concisely communicate clinic content, rules and regulations. Strong interpersonal skills. Actively cooperates and supports the work of others. Ability to work productively with anyone regardless of background. Empathetic and aware of impact on others. Productive in work volume, speed, quality and consistency. Ability to see projects through to completion on deadline. Excellent interpersonal judgment and discretion. Ability to work well as part of an administrative team with a customer service orientation towards co-workers, faculty and researchers. Ability to perform all commonly applicable functions in the Microsoft Suite. Skills in data management. Effectively uses relevant healthcare and clinic operations information technology, including billing systems and medical record documentation. Thorough knowledge of data management and documentation methods used in ambulatory care clinics.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with medical terminology and clinical knowledge of practice area. Previous experience (1-2 years) in an outpatient clinical teaching environment working directly with patients and physicians.
