A Brief Overview The Senior Human Resources Program Manager – Strategic Programs is a pivotal role responsible for executing large-scale HR strategic initiatives that align with business objectives. The primary focus of the role includes driving cross-company HR integration during mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and leading multi-year strategic HR initiatives and programs when not in an active M&A cycle. The importance of the role is to ensure minimal disruption through seamless team and system consolidations, cultural alignment, and operational continuity across entities.

Job Responsibilities

Leads the HR integration strategy from due-diligence to pre-close planning through to team & system integration completion

Conducts mutual discovery sessions to identify key HR business functional requirements for integration

Coordinates vendor and system evaluations to identify cost synergies and integration opportunities

Collaborates with Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, HR Operations, Learning & Development and Employee Relations to determine and implement harmonization strategies

Leads initiatives that support cultural integration, engagement, and retention of acquired talent

Executes assessment strategy for integration of policies and procedures ensuring compliance with employment laws

Develops and implements change management strategies to support large scale initiatives

Establishes and manages integration project timelines, deliverables, stakeholder communications, and change management needs

Monitors progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful execution of the integration

Provides executive-level reporting and updates to senior stakeholders

Captures lessons learned from each integration and build a HR playbook for future M&A activities

When not in engaged in HR Implementation cycle, drive HR cross-functional strategic initiatives from concept to implementation

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or a combination of education, training and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

A minimum of 8 years' progressive experience in Program/Project Manager role or similar

Program/project management experience, preferably within Merger & Acquisitions, corporate strategy, or business transformation

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification through Project Management Institute (PMI) preferred

The Program Management Professional certification through Project Management Institute (PMI-PgMP) preferred

Strong cross-functional leader who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments

Comfortable balancing strategic vision with tactical execution

Skilled at simplifying complexity and creating structure out of ambiguity

Empathetic communicator who builds trust and fosters collaboration

Strong understanding of corporate M&A processes and post-merger integration best practices

Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills

Ability to influence and collaborate across multiple levels and functions within a global organization

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; executive presence is a plus

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $97,600- $122,000 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base pay.
