Position Title: Research Faculty – Computational Psychiatry – Open Rank and Track
Department: Medicine | Psychiatry
Location: Research Administration Building (0200)
The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center (OSUWMC) Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health is seeking faculty members to complement our current strengths and enhance our research mission. We seek to hire faculty to expand our mission in computational psychiatry research.
Ideal candidates are clinically- or mechanistically-oriented researchers whose research program focuses on using statistical and computational approaches in one or more of the following areas:
Better understand root causes (mechanisms) of mental health conditions.
Develop and evaluate tools for more accurate and rapid diagnosis.
Apply statistical knowledge to enhance understanding of mental health diseases and care.
Evaluate the effectiveness of mental health treatments using diverse clinical trial designs.
Applicants may also have prior interest and experience in quality improvement and/or evaluation projects.
Faculty will join a multidisciplinary team of clinicians and scientists and be co‑located with a growing group of physicians, psychologists, and scientists aligned with goals across psychosis, suicide, trauma, depression, addiction, and anxiety. Individuals are expected to contribute to training, research, and other scholarly pursuits.
Qualifications
Strong record of external research funding (or strong evidence of interest and capability to pursue such funding).
Expertise in developing, leading, or substantially contributing to education and research programs concerning computational psychiatry.
Current federal funding and research experience indicating capability to attain consistent extramural funding.
