Wright State University and Premier Health have entered into an enhanced affiliation agreement that will transform health care delivery in the Miami Valley and beyond. As part of this transformative collaboration, Wright State's Boonshoft School of Medicine and Premier Health are seeking physicians with a demonstrated ability to enhance and elevate academic health organizations in their mission of clinical care, research, and education. Together, we seek dynamic individuals with a comprehensive understanding of our mission of developing and overseeing innovative health care delivery models, sustaining excellence in clinical care, supporting academic endeavors and promoting and advancing research initiatives and scholarly activity.
Minimum Qualifications
US Citizen or Permanent Resident Status
MD, DO or MBBS degree.
Completed Internal Medicine residency.
Completed or currently enrolled in Infectious Disease fellowship
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease
Ohio Medical License
Federally issued DEA License
Essential Functions and Percent of Time
Opportunity for acute care infectious disease consult service with some outpatient requirements
APP collaboration
Antibiotic Stewardship Center of Excellence through IDSA
Clinical teaching, supervision, and patient care on the division's services, including a combination of contributions to the inpatient teaching service, Miami Valley Infection Specialists clinics; working with a large outpatient HIV population and other infectious diseases.
Opportunity to participate in didactic teaching, journal clubs, clinical conferences, and other teaching assignments for residents and medical students, as assigned by and in collaboration with the department and BSOM's academic leadership.
Contributing to the division's clinical/patient care, research, and teaching missions.
Working Conditions This position is a Premier Health Network position. The role is based at Miami Valley Hospital, a full-service acute care hospital located in Dayton, Ohio.
