Starting pay: $17.50/hr Day Shift: Starts at 6:00am, Monday-Friday Position Purpose:
As a Forklift Operator, you will play a crucial role in our warehouse operations. Your primary duties will include operating material handling equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks to ensure the efficient flow of products through our distribution process while adhering to safety and quality standards. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Locating proper slots on storage racks and setting pallets in place with forklifts or hand stacking items. Transporting incoming freight to the freezer and performing count checks of incoming stock. Replenishing pick slots and rotating date-sensitive items as per company policy. Managing over-stocked items for temporary storage and removing empty pallets and cardboard packing as needed. Following all safety policies and work methods, reporting any unsafe conditions immediately. Reviewing work schedules, performing safety checks on equipment, and preparing for operations. Wearing all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Safety Gear. Meeting productivity and accuracy standards outlined by the company. Conducting inspections on incoming stock, performing temperature checks, and maintaining cleanliness in your work area. Replacing batteries in equipment and securing all tools and paperwork at the end of the shift. Performing other related duties as assigned. Qualification: High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent. Must be able to work scheduled times and required overtime. Physically capable of standing, walking, reaching, and lifting repeatedly throughout the shift. Comfortable lifting and stacking products weighing between 10-90 pounds. Able to work in various temperature environments (cooler, freezer, and dry). Pass a post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
