Location: San Jose, CA.
Schedule: Sunday – Thursday (PM Shift).
Pay Range: $95,000 – $105,000 annually.
Job Summary To support our growth, we’re looking for an exceptional Production Executive Chef to join our awesome team with Bon Appetit. The Executive Chef is responsible for the overall culinary experience of the production, including quality and innovation. This role oversees daily operations and administrative tasks such as financial management, sanitation, and safety to ensure culinary and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Manage workplace and food safety, including allergen management.
Passion for quality food preparation and taste.
Manage high volume production schedule and facility.
Follow all menu and production/prep expectations and guides, opening/closing checklist, and responsibility guides.
Set an expectation of teamwork that is friendly and engaging.
Train and develop team members.
Ensure employee reviews, coaching sessions, and disciplinary actions are delivered in a professional and timely manner.
Ensure that all products and ingredients that are used are purchased following sector and Food Program purchasing standards and sustainability commitments.
Meet all timelines for payroll, service, accounts receivable, HR, corporate office, and all other timelines given by our partner and management.
Ensure that all hiring and training standards are met.
Qualifications
Degree from a post‑secondary culinary arts training program (preferred, not required).
Ability to drive and enhance a culture of Food and Workplace Safety.
Minimum of 2 years Chef de Cuisine experience.
Strong passion for great food and hospitality.
Culinary production experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in computer and technical skills, working knowledge of Google Suite tools.
Experience managing in a Union environment is a plus.
ServSafe certification preferred.
